with Harald Sohlberg (1869 – 1935), the Norvegian painter whose exhibition @ Museum Wiesbaden ended yesterday. I am glad I was there yesterday. In nearly all his paintings presented at the exhibition – e.g. details from Winternacht in Rondane (1917), Mittsomernacht (1911), Andante (1908), Landstraße (1916) Historische Landschaft Tingelstad (1925) das Haus des Fischers (1906), Landstraße (1905) – various shades of BLUE had a dominating role. I was fascinated by his colours and the calmness and beauty which resulted out of them.
