What I really loved at Art Basel 2019 are the nudes: I showed the impressive and convincing naked selfportrait by Joan Semmel already in mid- June. But here are more: Bronze bust by Alexander Archipenko (1925) the large orange and flesh (2014) (with a detail) by Pat Steir, standing female nudes by George Grosz (1940) and my favourite, the wonderful sitting nude by Henri Matisse (1923)
